I've always loved Subway sandwiches. In fact, I worked there as a sandwich artist for about 4 years, so I'm well aware of their policies and procedures regarding sandwich artistry, especially when it comes to veggies. A few weeks ago Dustin and I were eating our normal Monday evening meal at Subway before he went to class and I asked for extra pickles on my sandwich, as I always do. And the conversation went something like this:
The lady behind the counter (who wasn't wearing any kind of Subway shirt, hat or other paraphernalia, including gloves!!) "Oh, I'm sorry, you only get 3 pickles for a 6 inch sandwich. That's what it comes with."
Me: "Excuse me? But I passed on some of the other veggies, so can't I have a few more pickles.?"
Mean Subway Lady: "No, that's the policy."
Me: "I've been coming to Subway for 10 years and never once have I heard that before."
Mean Subway Lady: "I just work here."
Can you believe that???? Has this happened to anyone else? I'm completely baffled. Apparently, Subway is being a stickler on veggie policies but has completely overlooked the health and sanitation policies. So dumb!!
I just want all of you Subway owner/ managers to know that Dustin and I have not returned to Subway since this traumatizing ordeal, and I don't know that we ever will. I'm not for sure if you're business will stay afloat with our weekly income of $10. Shame on you!
those commies!
